Luukku 6. Christmas greeting cards using old books

In Laurea Library Kerava we made Christmas cards using old books for our contacts and partners. Suitable DIY while watching Independence Day Reception on tv.

Materials:

  • card stock
  • book pages
  • glue
  • scissors
Use paper in Christmas colours and cut it in A5 size. Fold it in half to create your greeting card. Use the book pages to decorate your greeting cards in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Cut a triangle out of a book page, for the shape of the Christmas tree.
Cut it in strips or smaller triangles to make it look as abstract as you wish.
Don’t hesitate to create minimal or complicated designs.
Glue the pieces of book pages on to the card and write your wishes inside. It’s simple as that! Spread the holiday cheer with your own handmade greeting cards!
